The exciting world of MTV

 

The MTV concepts has become an international institution of youth culture. MTV USA, MTV Europe, MTV Asia, MTv Australia, MTV Brazil and MTV International are currently taking the MTV message t 211 millions homes across five continents. The network's unique programming elements, innovative graphics and irreverent on-air presentation have left an indelible imprint on movies, television, music, advertising and fashion.

 

MTV is rocking Europe

 

Since its launch in 1987 MTV Europe, the 24-hour youth entertainment channel has become the fastest-growing cable & satellite channel in Europe and has gained an enviable reputation in the European television arena.

 

MTV has overcome the cultural barrier which restricts traditional broadcasters by communicating through music, an international language which trancends national barriers and unites young people throughout the world.

 

MTV is now available to over 56 million households in more than 35 countries via Astra Satellite and Eutelsat, and to cable subscribers.

 

The exciting world of Teletext

 

Teletext is no longer just a subcarrier of messages, but a fully mature medium of its own. New technology has made it possible for creative people to give this medium a whole new content that is full of information, offers, games and completely new interactive ideas.

 

All over Europe teletext is discovered by active people often directed to it by a partner TV-station. The average percentage of households that receive one or more teletext media has grown from 17 million in 1989 to 33 million in 1992!

 

Teletext has become a real electronic newspaper that reaches millions of interested viewers daily, and like any other newspaper teletext has become a very interesting intereactive medium for advertisers too.

 

Teletext offers to adverstisers: an active reading and usage behaviour of millions of customers, which is a perfect setting for interactive communication in the broadest sense. Response is the name of the game on Teletext. Any kind of response by anybody at any time.

The interest of MTV in teletext has led to an exciting new Pan European Magazine for all of the 16-34 target group: MTVtext. MTV proudly plugs this dynamic medium many times per day on screen in order to get even more contact with the target group.

 

Next to relevant editorial information MTV offers a variety of interesting services to their viewers through teletext. Advertisers that look for response from this huge European target group can now use this relationship with MTV to their benefit.

 

This is Teleworld

 

Teleworld is the operator of MTVtext in clos co-operation with MTV. Teleworld is responsible for all editorial and commercial services regarding MTVtext. The company is based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and has affiliates in many European countries.

 

Teleworld works with a great number of European Tv stations as the supplier of all interactive networks around these stations, using configurations of state of the art communication technology. To name a few: RTL 4 and 5 in Holland, RTL TV in Germany and several commercial TV stations in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
